French Meadow Bakery Hemp Bread, Tempeh Reuben

I’ve heard of French Meadow Bakery products but I’ve never tried them before. I had a coupon so I decided to give it a try and opted for the Hemp Bread.  It was fantastic. If you like  sprouted breads like Ezekiel, you will have to try this. This sprouted bread also has flax, pumpkin seeds, and sesame seeds in it. Rob said it reminded him of a 12-Grain and Seed bread.  I ate mine toasted with some Earth Balance. It was yummy and had a nice earthy flavor.  Even though the Hemp Bread is a bit pricey, it is worth it. I’ve even bought it without a coupon now!

Since it was Valentine’s Day, I decided to make Rob a Tempeh Reuben which isn’t something I would eat. As my readers know, I’m picky, not much of a sandwich fan, and I don’t like mustard. I decided to make the Tempeh Reuben based on the recipe from the Peace in Every Bite Cookbook by Two Moons. I toasted the Hemp Bread and added stone-ground mustard, red onion, seasoned and cooked tempeh, vegan Monterey Jack cheeze, and Bubbies Sauerkraut. Rob thought it was delicious and said I could make it for him anytime.
