This recipe can be found in the cookbook Calci-Yum! by David & Rochelle Bronfman. I got the book as a bonus when I subscribed to the Vegetarian Journal (Vegetarian Resource Group) a few years ago. This chowder is chock full of vegetables including yams and okra. I use corn cut off the cob. I love this time of year when corn is cheap and plentiful. It has been running anywhere from $2 to $4 a dozen depending on if you buy it from a store or at a farm stand.
