First Pumpkin Carving of the Year

Yay! It’s time for pumpkins, apples, and cider. Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year. Although you can’t tell it’s Fall around here. We’ve had temperatures in the 70’s and 80’s!

Here is my first pumpkin carving of the year. I used the current pumpkin carving kit/pattern book you can buy at any retailer.

And what’s a pumpkin carving post without roasted pumpkin seeds! This pumpkin yielded two bowls worth of seeds. Yummy!

I accidentally dropped one of my vintage bowls on the ceramic tile floor in the kitchen. It shattered into a hundred little pieces. Ugh! I was so upset. It was a pain to clean up because the little pieces got caught in the grout.

I was super busy last month. Things have settled down now. My new job is going well and my new co-workers are really nice. I’ve already brought some baked goods into the office. Everyone has enjoyed the baked goods. I’ve brought in pie, muffins, and cookies so far.

I’ve been reading your blogs but I just haven’t had time to comment. I hope all is well. I hope to catch up soon.

Have a wonderful day 🙂

I love your pumpkin carving! They are calling my name everytime I walk into a grocery store now. Maybe this weekend…

So sorry about your bowl! I’d be upset too!

I love the fall as well, especially the apples, squashes, pumpkins, etc. It makes me want to have soup and bread every night for dinner.

Did you grow the pumpkins in your garden?

As I kid I never got to carve pumpkins. So, now I am pretty adamant about carving one every year. Not sure what this years will yet…

Pumpkin seeds were an acquired taste for me, now I like them with a little cayenne pepper.

Good to hear things are working out at your new job. I wish I was showered with vegan baked goods in the office.

I want to carve pumpkins too. That looks great. being in Sweden I can honeslty say that I’ve never ever carved a pumpkin, we’re not big on halloween here although it’s getting bigger.

I love carving pumpkins too, though I never get as fancy as you – I typically go with the triangle eyes and almost toothless grin! Never fails!
