My Garden Plot

I finally have a chance to talk about my community garden plot. I’m enjoying it but I’m behind in weeding due to my sinus infection. We had a few days of rain when I was sick so the weeds were out of control in just three days. We’ve been playing catch-up ever since.

My tomato plants have tomatoes! Yipppeeee! These are the largest tomatoes so far:

I have 20 squash and cucumber plants. Here’s one of my squash plants:

The carrots are starting to poke through the ground. I planted 4 types of carrots.

I’ll be taking new pics of my garden this weekend. Here’s one from last month (May) when the weeds were under control. You can see my 14 tomato plants, habanero peppers plants , eggplant plants, and brussel sprouts plants. In between the tomato plants is where I’ve planted chives as well as several varieties of carrots and radishes. To the right (not pictured) is where I have my squash plants. I also will be transplanting my lettuce, spinach, and swiss chard there soon. I’ll have more garden pics soon, including pictures from my patio garden as well.

Hope you have a wonderful day. I’ve been reading your blogs but I haven’t had time to comment. Hope all is well 😀

Wow, your plot looks really big! Everything looks so good, much better than our sad little garden 😉

Really looking good! I’m amazed you have tomatoes on the vine already….when did you plant them? None of my plants are anywhere near that size yet…plus a bunny ate all our snow peas! Glad to hear you’re feeling better.

I had a community garden plot last summer….we didn’t get along very well, so I gave it up this year. Hopefully your experience is better than mine!

Hi all 😀 Thanks for the great comments. I will definitely be making the rounds of blogs this weekend. Things have just been so hectic and busy around here. Also, I’ve been spending most of my free time after work at my garden plot.

Aurora’s Mom, I planted my tomato plants about five weeks ago. I bought my tomato plants locally. I was shocked at how many tomatoes the plants had already. I’ll be taking pics of my garden this weekend post-weeding and you’ll be amazed at how huge the tomato plants are now. What a bummer about the bunny eating all of your snow peas. The bunnies here ate all the lettuce I was hardening on my patio. I have pack of lettuce seeds left that I’m just going to directly sow into the ground. Hopefully they won’t eat that too. Something (not sure what) ate part of one my eggplant plants but I’ve been babying it so it’s starting to come back. Have you made any good thrifty finds lately?

Hi Judy, aw, what a bummer it didn’t work out for you and the community garden. I got a kick out of your last comment that you didn’t peg me as a Minor Threat fan. I bet you’d also be surprised to find out that I’m a renegade of funk. LOL 😀

Hey Miranda, Yay! You left a comment! I’m looking forward to trying the guac. I bet it’s delicious 🙂 You were definitely missed at work yesterday. We certainly could of used the extra help in harassing Paul. LOL

Hi! It’s great to find another veggie with a potager/allotment.

I’ve been running mine as totally organic for 4 years now, and the taste of the vegetables is truly amazing 🙂

I’ll be sure to check in on you regularly!
