I made another delicious recipe from The Everyday Vegan Cookbook by Dreena Burton – Orange Almond Scones. Since I used my scone pan which controls the shape/size of the scones, I was able to make 7 scones. These scones are healthier than traditional scones and very tasty. I ate one for breakfast this morning with a homemade Hazelnut soy cappuccino. Yum!
The next two pics are for Aurora’s Mom. This is the Fire King Sugar/Creamer I mentioned. It’s neat because you can stack them and I like the retro blue color too. The mug in the picture above is also by Fire King.
Vivacious Vegan made some excellent comments on my blog the other day about putting items away when your house is for sale. It’s very important to secure items you are concerned about as you never know what people will go through! Luckily, we’ve packed up a lot of items we can live without and put them in my parents’ basement.
When we had the showing last week, someone went through my spices! I have two of those three-tiered spice shelves in one of my kitchen cabinets. I’m particular on how I have items arranged. I noticed things were moved around when I went to make dinner later that day, like my cumin was put next to the nutmeg. The horror! It is just weird to me they would move the spices around. And here I had a few people laugh at me because I locked up the expensive spices like my vanilla beans. All it takes is one unscrupulous foodie/chef to come through…….
In regards to the LED pumpkin light from yesterday, my mom really liked it. I’m going to get the pumpkin lights for my parents and grandma.
Have a great day everyone 😀
