Hi Everyone and Happy September! We went to an estate sale back at the beginning of summer and I found a brand new Sassafras Pizza Peel that was still sealed! They had it marked $8 but I ended getting the pizza peel and three church/community cookbooks (not pictured) for $4 total. Yay!
I couldn’t wait to try out my new pizza peel with my new pizza stone, which I received as a gift (it came from Crate & Barrel). The pizza was fantastic, although not quite a perfect circle….I’m still working on my technique. For the “cheeze” I used Vegan Gourmet. For the pizza sauce, I am a big fan of Muir Glen’s Organic Pizza Sauce which is great when you don’t feel like whipping up your own. The seasoning on top is Little Itlay Herbs – New York City Style Blend from the Spice House, a local company that also has an online store.
