Chicago has some interesting coffee shops and Werewolf Coffee is a fun addition. By now, you have probably heard that Werewolf Coffee converted a Wonder Bread truck into a barista counter. I saw pictures of it online and had to check it out in person. Let me say that it is even cooler in person! I really like the how they put a turntable where the engine would be. Very clever. Rob and I each got a vanilla latte with almond milk and it was very tasty. I look forward to stopping by next time I’m in Chicago on a weekday.
Beverages/Food: They do offer non-dairy milk and I went for almond milk in my latte. They had a few varieties of drip coffee, several tea options, and cold brew on tap. I didn’t see any vegan food offerings when I was there.
Service: Friendly and accommodating. The baristas couldn’t have been nicer.
Seating: There are plenty of seating options, from the couch and chairs by the fireplace to counter seating facing the window and wall planters. There are also tables and chairs off the hallway entrance.
Hours: Limited to weekdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Parking: There is a parking lot but the spaces are numbered/reserved except for a couple of 20 minute visitor parking spots. We found parking a block away. There is a bike rack at the end of the building near Elston.
